Thistle Do – this original abstract acrylic painting I created using a very limited pallet. The result was these varying shades of purples, greens, black and white – I love a limited pallet. These bold acrylic colours automatically made me think of thistles, hence the name. I have painted the sides of the canvas in the dark green which features throughout the picture. To hang this piece vertically, as shown, you just need to hammer 1 small nail into the wall.
I have given Thistle Do one coat of artist’s varnish for protection.
As with all my paintings, it comes complete with a Certificate of Authentication signed by me, the artist.
